Information: Scarabaeus isidis, was described by Laporte de Castelnau in 1840 as Ateuchus isidis. The species is scattered throughout Africa and the Arabian Peninsula.
Body length: 25 - 35 mm
Peak activity: January - December (depends on region)
Remarks: Scarabaeus isidis, iis found in the south of Oman, Dhofar province on the border with Yemen. It looks for seasonal pastures where it is most active in the monsoon season.
