Rhizoplatys arabicus Dechambre, 2005

ℹ  Information: Rhizoplatys arabicus, is a very rare endemic and interesting species that was described by Dechambre in 2005 from the Jabel Samhan Mountains located in southern Oman, Dhofar Province.

Peak activity:  August- October


⚠  Remarks: The species lives only in the Jabal Samhán mountains at an altitude of around 1000 m. Rhizoplatys arabicus develops exclusively in the roots of Euphorbia sp. He is sometimes drawn to a light trap.
