Information: Prionotoma kucerai is a newly discovered species of longhorn beetle described by Adlbauer and Delahaye in 2017. This species was collected in May 2015 using light traps in the seasonal deciduous savanna forests located near the Omo River in the Governorate in Southern Nations, Nationalities, and Peoples' Region of Ethiopia (SNNPS). The habitat where the beetle was found is characterized by gallery forests along the river, which are crucial for maintaining biodiversity in the region. Unfortunately, these forests are now threatened by the construction of a new dam, which has led to the flooding of the area.
