Information: Pixodarus nyassae is a very rare species occurring, Republic of South Africa and Mozambique northwards to Zimbabwe and Malawi. Tanzania, southern Kenya and eastern part of the Democratic Republic of Congo.
It mainly inhabits tropical savanna forests (Miombo forests). Most of the finds are at the beginning of the rainy season.
Body length: 28 - 40 mm
Peak activity: October - January
Remarks: They are often attracted to light sources.
