ℹ  Information: Oryctes (Rykanoryctes) boas, is the most widespread rhinoceros beetle in Africa, originally described by Fabricius in 1775 as Scarabaeus boas.

Body length: 59 - 69 mm
Peak activity: January - December (depends on region)

⚠  Remarks: Oryctes boas is widely distributed in tropical forests and wetter savannahs. It lives in refuse dumps, compost heaps and piles of rotting vegetation.
