Information: Dorcadion ossae, was described by Heyrovsky in 1941 on the basis of pieces collected by Mařan in 1938. The species is endemic only on Mount Ossa, after which it was named.

Remarks: Dorcadion ossae, is active in the higher parts (< 1400 m) of the mountain during the nice warm weather, which often changes here.
