Information: Cantharocnemis (Cantharocnemis) spondyloides, a species widely distributed on the African continent and the Arabian Peninsula. It appears occasionally from the beginning of the rainy season even outside the main season. It occurs from dry savannas to seasonal wet forests. Common in suitable localities.

Remarks: The species occurs during the main rainy season, occasionally in the off-season. During the day, it hides under the bark, in various crevices. They are active at night when they come out of hiding. They are often attracted to light sources.
In Oman (Dhofar) it is only during the rainy season.
