Information:Augosoma centaurus, is the largest rhinoceros beetle in Africa, described by Fabriciusin 1775, originally as Scarabaeus centaurus. It lives in tropical forests mainly in equatorial and western Africa.
Body length: 45 - 95 mm
Peak activity: January - December (depends on region)
Remarks: The species is active on the light trap.
