Information: Anoplophora macularia is a widespread species in Asia that continues to spread invasively. It was described from northern China by Thomson as Calloplophora macularia in 1865. Body coloration is black, with white spots scattered on the surface of the elytra. An important pest of trees, especially citrus. The closely related Anoplophora chinensis (Forster, 1771) belongs to invasive species and pests of woody plants (<100 species). Popularly named as Citrus-root cerambyci.

Remarks: Widespread species throughout the island of Formosa. It inhabits deciduous forests from the lowlands to an altitude of about 1,300 m. Adults appear throughout the year in the southern part of the country, while in the central and northern parts of the country they are concentrated in May to September. There are many different types of host plants, but they are most commonly found on citrus. Adults feed on the leaves or branches of these trees.He is rarely attracted to a light trap in the evening.
